Mr. Lonnie Carter Jr., age 70, passed away Monday, March 24th, at the Savannah Beach Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Tybee Island, Ga. He was a native of South Carolina, but resided in Chatham County for many years. He was retired as an employee with Budweiser Company as a sales supervisor. He enjoyed cooking and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his loving children, Mrs. Cynthia Carter Simmons of Rincon, Ga., Ms. TaWanda Carter, Mrs. Stephanie Chugani, Mr. Eric Carter (Francene), Mr. Alton Carter, Mrs. Alvina Dixion and Mr. Gary Carter (Kernethia), all of Savannah, Ga., Mr. Donald Carter (Twranni) and Mrs. Alethia Fy'All, both of Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Colvin Carter of New Mexico and Mrs. Patricia Scott Harris (James) of El Paso, Texas; a loving brother, Mr. McArthur Carter of Savannah, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be Friday, March 28th, from noon until 8 p.m. at Bynes-Royal Funeral Home, 204 West Hall Street, Savannah, Ga.
The Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 29th, at 11 a.m. at Prayer Temple Church of God In Christ, 702 West Victory Drive, Savannah, Ga., with Elder Eugene Trimble officiating.
