SYLVANIA - Janie Luree Mallard Bevill, age 99, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. She was born in Screven County and was a homemaker. She was also a member of Blue Springs United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Bernard Bevill; son, Larry B. Bevill; parents, Francis Hinton and Laura Janie M. Mallard.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry B. & Rusty Black and Margie B. & Paul Leeder, all of Sylvania; grandchildren, Bernette Leeder of Sylvania, Craig Steinhaus of Sylvania, Robyn Eouzan of Charleston, S.C., and Vonnie Stringer of Statesboro; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, December 17, 2010, 1-3 p.m. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral service: Friday, December 17, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Dixon officiating. Burial in Blue Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Rusty Mallard, Kerry Mallard, Ricky Seckinger, Ricky Stringer, Donnie Mallard and Jarrad Rowse.
Honorary pallbearer: Dr. Joe Morgan.
In lieu of flowers: Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
