STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Thomas E. "Tommy" Cribbs, age 66, died Tuesday morning at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Tommy was born April 20th 1947, in Savannah, Ga., where he spent most of his early life. He later moved to Jacksonville, Fla., where he graduated from Jacksonville High School with the class of '65. Following high school, Tommy proudly served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a distinguished service member of the United States Marine Corps. Tommy lived in Statesboro for the past 30 years, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy.

He is survived by his father, James Cribbs; his two sons, Tom (Julie) Cribbs of Brooklet, Seth Cribbs of Brooklet; and three grandchildren, Parker, Lauren and Luke Cribbs, all of Brooklet.
A funeral service, with military honors, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga., with the Rev. Janet Odegaard officiating.
