STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Winston Von Jones, age 67, passed into eternity on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014, at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.
He was born into time on April 29th, 1946, to the late Mr. Rufus and Mina Mae Rawls Jones in Bulloch County, Ga.
He was educated in the Bulloch County School System. Mr. Jones was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church, Pembroke, Ga.
He was employed for many years as a farmer and then later became a construction roofer until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Mrs. Leslie Timmons Jones; five siblings, Lenton Jones, J.P Jones, Donnell Jones, Cleveland Jones and Catherine Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Percy (Lisa) Morrell of Millen, Ga., Annie Marie Jones (James) Rock of Portal, Ga.; a stepson, William Timmons of Statesboro, Ga.; six sisters, Mary Washington, Louise (Ernest) Campbell, Rosa Hagins, Ellen Taylor, Hilda Stewart and Geraldine Jones, all of Statesboro, Ga.; two brothers, Levon (Mae Helen) Jones and Ronnie (Dianne) Jones, both of Statesboro, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Joanne Jones of Statesboro, Ga.; a maternal uncle, E.J. Rawls of Memphis, Tenn.; a maternal aunt, Annie Dell Rawls of Pembroke, Ga.; and a paternal aunt, Idella Jones of Statesboro, Ga.; 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a care giver, Janice Morrell of Statesboro, Ga.; a special friend, Jennie Eason of Statesboro, Ga.; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones.

Public visitation for Mr. Winton Von Jones will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014, from noon until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Winton Von Jones will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, 760 Magnolia Church Road, Statesboro, GA 30461. The Rev. Lisa Deloach will officiate. The Rev. Dr. Francys Johnson, pastor. The committal service will follow in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 197 Antioch Road, Brooklet, Ga.
