STATESBORO, Ga. -- Ms. Essie Mae Hill, age 87, passed into eternal rest early Monday morning, April 7, 2014, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The Bulloch county native was the daughter of the late Reverend O.S. Hill and the late Mrs. Lummie Bell Laurie Hill. She was educated in the public school system of Bulloch County and a member of the Summer Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves memories to be cherished by her devoted nephews whom she helped rear, Mr. Beamon Hill, California, Mr. Charlie Allen, Statesboro, Ga., and Mr. Fredrick Hill, Pembroke, Ga.; a host of numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service for Ms. Hill will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the Summer Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. F.L. Roberts officiating, the Rev. Raphele Smith, pastor, presiding.
Ms. Hill will lie in state at the church on the day of the service from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
Final rites have been entrusted to the care of Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
