STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Lewis Randall Evington, age 80, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at his residence. The Greenville, S.C., native was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville and attended Furman University. Mr. Evington worked with Union Bleachery for 21 years and retired from King Finishing after 30 years of service as a supervisor. He attended Eastern Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Reeves Evington.

Surviving are his daughter, Pat (Faith Beecher) Evington of Rincon, Ga.; two sons, Chad Evington of Spartanburg, S.C., and Randy Evington of Statesboro; a grandson, Aiden Beecher of Rincon, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Gail Evington of Powdersville, S.C.; his aunt, Leila Jones of Greenville, S.C.; and two nieces, Nikki Puckhaber and Kristy Hunsinger.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in Bulloch Memorial Gardens with Dr. Harry Sherrer officiating.
