Mr. Dennis Rudolph Hann, 56, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away Tuesday morning, July 15, 2014, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his father, Crawford Rudolph Hann.
A Sylvania native and graduate of Screven County High School, Dennis enlisted in the United States Air Force following graduation. He was stationed throughout many places over his tenure, and ultimately he retired and continued to reside in Anchorage, Alaska, with 22 years served, attaining the rank of master sergeant. He was a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Force Achievement Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster. Dennis was a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan who loved hunting, fishing, but more than all, spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hann of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Rebecca Ellen (Christopher) Frost and Jennifer Lynn Hann, both of Anchorage, Alaska; his mother, Marilyn Lee Hann of Sylvania, Ga.; a brother, David Hann of Augusta, Ga.; and grandchildren, Colton Dennis Hann, Chase Michael Frost, Presley Ellen Frost and Cody Frost.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Screven Chapel of Joiner-Anderson.
The memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Screven Chapel of Joiner-Anderson with the Rev. Dr. Charlie Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
