STATESBORO, Ga. -- Ms. Tironica Latrice Smith, age 40, passed into eternal rest on Monday, July 28, at the Westwood Nursing Home Center, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. At an early age, she attended High Hope School and later she attended Statesboro High School and graduated in the year 1992. After graduating, she enrolled in High Hope Adult Center. She was a member of St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her parents, Mr. Ivory Joe and Mrs. Janice Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; three sisters, Ranesia Denise Brown and Tacoria Shawan Smith, both of Augusta, Ga., and Kaneshia Kawan (Leon) Hodge of Statesboro, Ga.; two brothers, Ivory Joe Smith II of Statesboro, Ga., and Ijuwon Jamal Smith of Millen, Ga.; her paternal grandmother, Ms. Lucille Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends and other family members from 7–8 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014, in the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., 58 Packinghouse Road, Statesboro, GA 30458.
The funeral service for Ms. Smith will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at noon at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church, 2227 Mallard Pond Road, Statesboro, GA, with Pastor Timotheus Mincey officiating and Minister Dorothy Humphries presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
