ROCKY FORD - Gerald Marlow "Jerry" Brown, age 62, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He was a native of Effingham County and a member of Wades Baptist Church. He was a retired landscaper of Howell's Nursery and a member of the Clyde's DDC Coffee Club. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Brown.

Survivors:wife, Cynthia Howard Brown of Rocky Ford; daughter, Amanda Leigh Brown of Carrollton, Ga.; son, Ethan Brown of Rocky Ford; special friends, Jimmie and Shea Cason, Lane and Riley Cason, all of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Saturday, October 25, 2008, 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service: Sunday, October 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Wades Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Trim and the Rev. Dan Joyner officiating. Burial in Wades Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Todd McBride, Bobby Alexander, Ricky Alexander, Jason Howell, Ken Mock and Al Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers: Chad Hernandez, Gerald Mobley, Christina Hernandez and members of the Clyde's DDC Coffee Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jerry Brown Memorial Fund at BB&T Bank in Sylvania.
