Deacon Roosevelt Savage, age 86, of Savannah, Ga., passed peacefully away at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga., on Wednesday, August 6th. He was a Bulloch County native, but resided in Chatham County for many years. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Savannah, Ga. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Hunt Wesson/Beatrice Food Company of Savannah, Ga.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Alberta Savage of Savannah, Ga.; his loving daughters, Ms. Rogenia Savage and Mrs. Sharon Savage Watson (Reggie), both of Savannah, Ga.; a loving son, Mr. Stephen Savage (Gloria) of Savannah, Ga.; a loving sister, Mrs. Betty Lang of Savannah, Ga.; a loving aunt, Mrs. Jarldine Lanier of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Deacon Roosevelt Savage will be held Friday, August 15th, at 10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Savannah, Ga., with the Rev. Joseph Fields, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
