Witnessing my 3 nephew's (your little boys) grow into respectful, successful, caring, hard working young men, fills me with pride. These last 3 1/2 years of my life have been the kind I would never wish on another human being. I hope you are proud of how resilient I have become in my old age . Your sisterly love comes to me through Brian, Josh and Danny. They will do something or say something that I have witnessed you do or say thousands of times while you were here. What once caused my heart to ache has grown into a change of perspective; now considering myself so blessed to see wonderful reminders of my only sister every time I get to visit with each of your (little boys). Though they are fully grown, successful young men; I respect each if them so much but I can't help but love them fiercely like they were "little boys". I feel it must be some kind of a "Mama Thing". I have faith that, God's got all of us in the palm of his hands andI'm counting on getting a hug from you soon.

Laura was an amazingly talented and strong woman. Her quiet, unassuming exterior belied the tough, capable person within. She dealt with the loss of her home in the recent wildfires in Bastrop with a simple philosophy. "We will be OK! Life goes on", she told me the first time I saw her after the fire. All of the members of TOPS Chapter 1686 will miss seeing her sitting at the end of the Officer's table, dutifully taking notes in her Secretary's notebook every Monday night. Now, as we, her friends and family are left to deal with the terrible tragedy that is the loss of Laura, let us remember her words, "We will be OK, life goes on". She would want it that way. Laura, we love you and miss you!

The last time I saw Laura she was a baby
and the apple of her daddy's eye. Now she is with him.
