STONE, Daniel Lee "Danny" - Austin
STONE, Daniel Lee "Danny" Stone, Daniel Lee "Danny". Died May 12th, 2016. He was only 54. Preceded in death by his father Earl, Danny is survived by his mother Erna, brothers John and Steve, sisters Deborah and Sigrun, children Ryan, Kyle, Danielle and grandchild Elizabeth. Born in Frankfurt, Germany he lived the majority of his life in Austin and deservedly called it "his town". A solo or joint inventor of 22 patents in the semiconductor field, he had a true Austinites passion for the outdoors, sports and music wherever it could be had. Though facing serious health issues, he could still squeeze joy out of the life he had lived and was living: memories of practical jokes played on his children, tales of live music he'd experienced, musicians he'd met and Green Bay Packer game days at Billy's on Burnet Road all would bring a smile to his face. For those of you who knew Danny and are of a mind, please pray for he and his family. And take a moment to search for Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" on your device of choice and crank it up. He loved that song.
