Ann (Moyer) Aldridge
Ann (Moyer) Aldridge passed away November 10, 2012 after waging a courageous 4-1/2 year battle against breast cancer
. Ann was born in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School. While in Michigan, she later earned honorary BA, MA, and PhD degrees from the School of Hard Knocks, specializing in Surviving Life's Challenges. She worked 13 years for Tektronix, Inc. in the Detroit sales office. In 1984, she married her husband Dave and moved to Austin, Texas to start a new life. Most recently, Ann was employed at National Alliance. She loved her family and friends very much and thrived on preparing and presenting special meals for her guests. Annie's favorite holiday was Christmas. A very traditional woman, she hosted an annual Cookie Day party in December at which her guests made and exchanged delicious treats. She loved learning about history and especially enjoyed reading and travelling to places she read about. Ann's greatest blessing and joy in the last year of her life was the birth of her grandson, Kallen. "Grammy Annie" lit up with a radiant smile anytime he was near. She is survived by her loving husband Dave, son Michael (Brandy), grandson Kallen, siblings Bill (Jan) Moyer, Steve (Yvonne) Moyer, and Maureen Moyer (Marilyn Waxberg). Ann also leaves behind loving nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. Ann was preceded in death by her son Billy. A memorial service will take place Saturday, December 1st at 1 PM at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 10408 U.S. 290W, Austin, TX 78736. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to
