August Charles Frohnapfel August Charles Frohnapfel, 88, of Austin died on January 7th, 2013. He was born on January 12th, 1924 to Marie (Mary) Emma Stauffer Frohnapfel and August W. Frohnapfel in Thrall, Texas. Throughout his life he worked as a carpenter, with Monarch Marking Machines, the American Dairy Association, and with the Austin Fire Department for 33 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Disabled American Veterans. Some special achievements he accumulated during his life included his amateur Radio License K5EIR, concealed handgun license, article submission to"Machinist" magazine, and honorable discharge from the United States Army. August is survived by his son, Thomas C. Frohnapfel of Waxahachie, Texas; son, Larry M. Frohnapfel of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Amy C. Olney of Coppell, Texas; grandson, Jason C. Frohnapfel of Dallas, Texas; great grandson, Cameron W. Olney of Coppell, Texas; great granddaughter, Morgan J. Olney of Coppell, Texas; great granddaughter, Madison J. Olney of Coppell, Texas. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from seven o'clock until half past eight o'clock in the evening, on Thursday, the 10th of January 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
