She was raised in Iowa but traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Arizona State University where she met Dave. After numerous moves for Dave's career, Carolyn and her family moved to Texas in 1976 and she declared Texas home. They built their home in the Hill Country west of Austin, where they resided for 32 years. Carolyn and Dave enjoyed being with dear friends made around the world, traveling internationally and hosting guests at their home in Austin. Carolyn's generosity and lively sense of humor was passed onto her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughters, Leslie R. Frazier and Sara L. Robinson and her husband, James V. Robinson. She also leaves behind two adored granddaughters, Kyle and Lynn Robinson who brought her enormous happiness and kept things lively and humorous for Grandma. Carolyn is also survived by her sister, Joan Kelley and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the many loving caregivers and family that cared for our Mom, as well as the kind spirits of hospice that helped her make the final journey. Mom, Grandma and dear friend, your spirit will always live on and you will be greatly missed. Dad said you were a tough lady and we honor that strength. Thanks for being such a great force in our life. The information for Carolyn's memorial service in Austin will be announced at a later date.
