WALKER, Ret. Smsgt Charles E.

Retired US Air Force SMSgt Charles E. Walker was born in Chattanooga Tennessee on March 25, 1932. He arrived in Austin Texas at Bergstrom Air Force Base in 1976 and called it home. After 28 years of service he retired from the Military and went to work for the US Post office for 18 years, On Feb 14, 2014 he took his place in heaven aside his wife Betty Walker, Parents Thomas and Effie Walker, Sisters Dorothy Sims, and Joi Billingsley. His service to his community and the Masonic family has proven to be a valuable asset to his family, friends, community and this nation.

He is survived by Son Charles Walker Jr., Daughter and son-in law Janette and Gary Gibreal, Two Brothers Thomas Walker, Hal and sister-in law Juanita Hobbs from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, and nieces, and nephew.

Viewing held on Sunday Feb 23, 2014, 1:00PM - 7:00PM at King Tears, 1300 E 12th St, Austin 78702

Services on Monday Feb 24, 2014, 11:00:am at Rising Star Baptist Church, 1710 East 20th Street, Austin, Texas 78722. Following services, he will lay to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio Texas.
