Dale Eugene Johnson

Dale Eugene Johnson Dale Eugene Johnson of Austin, Texas went to his heavenly home on May 5, 2013. Dale was born on March 12, 1937 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Samuel Edwin Johnson and Violette Marie Phillips. His memorial service will be held Thursday, May 9, 4:00PM at Bethany United Methodist Church on 10010 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, Texas. Dale graduated from Saint Joseph's High School in Brownsville, Texas in 1955 where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He then went onto The University of Texas at Austin to study accounting. To the day he died, he lived and breathed Longhorn sports. Upon leaving UT he joined the United States Marine Corp to serve his country which he loved profoundly. Afterwards, he was employed by the State of Texas to audit the accounting records and practices of various state and federal programs. In 1974, he pursued his passion of landscaping and irrigation by starting his own business, Johnson Sprinklers. He loved scuba diving, snow skiing, his work, visiting New Orleans and New York, and seeing the great state of Texas, with special interest in Big Bend National Park and the Texas Gulf Coast. Dale is survived by Catherine Johnson; his brother Gail Johnson and his wife Colleen; daughter Robin, son-in-law Keith White, and their daughter Spencer; son Stormy Johnson, his lovely wife Adrienne, and their two sons Brandon and Cade; son Troy Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas 4000 for Cancer, or a . God Bless America.
