Daniel Joseph Abboud Daniel Joseph Abboud, 55, died Saturday May 25, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born May 11, 1958, in Omaha Nebraska, first born son of Gene Abboud and Jean Belle Van Houten-Abboud. Daniel graduated from Millard High School, in Omaha, Nebraska with class of 1976, before attending the University of Iowa, then went on to San Francisco State. Daniel was a long time business owner; he was an avid traveler, a very social and sweet man. He also enjoyed cooking and natural soap making. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Abboud and his brother Scott Christopher. Daniel is survived by his mother Jean Van Houten-Abboud, and his partner Donald Akin Jr, his brothers David Abboud - wife Merilee, Joseph Abboud, Dana Abboud - wife Sharon; sister, Brenda Abboud-Chance and husband Lloyd, and many nieces, nephews, and last but not least his faithful pet Beau. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 11 am, Wednesday May 29 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis 411 Ranch Road 620 South Lakeway, TX 78734, officiated by Reverend Mark Gardner. Burial will follow at Hudson Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Austin Christopher House 2820 E MLK Blvd. Austin, Texas 78702.
