David Lane Almond David Lane Almond was born November 4, 1982 in Casper, Wyoming. He is the eldest son of Grant and Debbie Almond. David passed away June 6, 2007 in Austin, TX where he and his wife, Amber Christine Moore had been living since their marriage on March 12, 2007. David moved with his family to Ventura, California at an early age and lived there with them for 7 years. He then moved again with the family to Cedar Park, Texas where he attended Faubion Elementary, Cedar Park Middle School, Leander High and graduated from Cedar Park High School in 2001. He also attended classes at Austin Community College. David was a gentle soul who sought the best in all those around him. He was a constant reminder of more innocent times and had a serene view of eternity developed through difficult times and perseverance in adversity. He will be sorely missed for his gentle laugh, sense of humor, and desire to leave the path he traveled better for his being there. David is survived by his wife Amber Christine along with his mother and father Debbie and Grant, sisters Amber Lynn and Cassandra (Scott) Carter and brother Sean. Amber Christine's family members include her parents Chris and Roger Moore, sister Skylar Marie, and brother Shawn Taylor. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grand-parents on both sides. David was preceded in death by his grandfather Allan Lamar and brother-in-law Marshall Jefferson. A viewing will be held Monday, June 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home located at 9700 Anderson Mill Rd., Austin, Texas 78750. A second viewing will be held at the church prior to the Tuesday funeral services from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12th at 12:00 Noon in the Cedar Park Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cedar Park, Texas. The Chapel is located at 1004 West Park Street. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home. The family wishes to express its deepest thanks and appreciation for everyone who has helped during this difficult time in all our lives.
