Donald Ray Youngbloom
Donald Ray Youngbloom, 53, of Charleston, S. Carolina, died Monday, April 22, 2013. Don was born April 8, 1960 in Austin, TX, son of Dan Moody Youngbloom and the late Laurinda Alice Alford Youngbloom. He graduated in 1978 from Lanier High School and attended the University of Texas
at Austin. Don was an International Attendant with Continental and United Airlines for 29 ½ years. He was a member of the Charleston Rifle Club; he was an avid bowler and camper. Don is survived by his partner, Judge James B. (Skip) Gosnell,Jr. of Charleston, SC; his father, Dan M. Youngbloom of Austin, TX; his brother's Kenneth D. Youngbloom of Austin; and Richard W. Youngbloom & his wife Jan of Georgetown, TX; Niece, Amanda Brown & her husband Kendall, of Florence, TX and their children, Camille, Zane and Kenna; Niece, Kayla Youngbloom and her fiancé Caleb Brown, of Rice, TX; as well as numerous aunts, cousins and many dear friends. Don is also survived by his two Jack Russell pups, Ashley and Austin. The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the numerous friends who have loved and supported Don and Skip and to the incredible staff of St. Francis Hospital, who provided such compassionate care. A memorial will be held at Crestview United Methodist Church 1300 Morrow St. Austin, TX, Wednesday May 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Don will be laid to rest in Caldwell, TX.
