Ernesto Diaz-Lara

Ernesto Diaz-Lara Ernesto Diaz-Lara, 75, passed away December 7, 2012 at home in Bastrop, Texas. Ernesto was born in San Turce, Puerto Rico on April 7, 1937. He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, including 2 tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army after 12 years as a Recruiter. Ernesto was preceded in death by his parents Ernesto Diaz and Gilda Lara-Diaz. Ernesto Is survived by his wife Debra Diaz-Lara, son Aaron Diaz, daughter Sharon Diaz-Taylor, grandchildren Christopher Tarnow, Jonathan Lovera, Blair Chambers, Taylor Chambers, Emily Taylor, Addison Taylor, Erica Diaz, and Marissa Diaz, and great grandchildren Haylee and Kaleb Lovera, Bentley Chambers, and Kaydence Chambers. Also surviving him are his brother Hector Diaz-Lara, and his sisters Edy Morales and Carmen Rodriguez. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 3pm at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home (512-308-9188).
