Gary began his life in North Texas, but moved to Austin prior to beginning school and graduated from Lanier High School. Gary attended Cooke County College before joining the Air Force in 1988 where he also attended the Air Force Community College. Gary worked for the Maintenance Division of the Texas Department of Transportation for 11 years before having to retire due to his illness. Gary and Cindy are members of Hill Country Bible Church in Cedar Park, where Gary was just beginning to enjoy the fellowship and opportunities to help others when he became ill. Gary loved to snow board, scuba dive, meeting people, sharing his extensive knowledge of history and trivia, and helping others. Gary was a big guy in stature who had an equally big heart with compassion for others. In recent years, Gary's favorite things were grilling and being a jungle gym for his loving, sweet, beautiful granddaughters who could get anything they wanted from their PawPaw.
