Guadalupe Chapa

Guadalupe "Lupe" Chapa November 26, 1932 December 6, 2012 Our beloved Guadalupe "Lupe" Chapa was called to her eternal home on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the age 80. Lupe was born to Porfirio and Luz Figueroa on November 26, 1932 in Brenham, Texas. Lupe was preceded in death by her parents, husband Celestino Chapa Sr., grandson John Albert Chapa, brothers Pedro, Pasqual, Lasaro Figueroa, Mike and Carlos Rodriguez, and sisters Teresa Lopez and Lucia Castillo. Lupe moved with her family to Austin where she later met her love, her husband of 55 years, the late Celestino Chapa, Sr. The two shared many special memories and we find comfort in knowing they are now together. She enjoyed serving our Lord and was an active parishioner and Guadalupana at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda, Texas. Lupe worked 51 years for Seton Healthcare Network and was their longest serving employee. Lupe also enjoyed working in her flower garden and making delicious meals for her family. Lupe will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind, but we will forever be grateful for the wonderful Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma she was to each and every one of us. Those she leaves behind to embrace her memory are her children, Celestino Jr.and wife Carmen, Bennie Saldana and husband Buddy, Felix and wife Esther, and David Sr. and wife Connie. Her grandchildren, Albert Jr., Tina Michelle, Joe, Leonard, Virgie, David Jr., Michelle, Melissa, Tino, and Hector. Great Grandchildren, Rena, Claudia, Isabelle, EricShaun, Xavier, Daniel, David III, Tony Jr., Raina, Alyana, Monique, Alexander, and Jazzmyn. Her sisters, Paula, Mary Lou, Eloisa, Sue Ann, Martha and brother Ben. Rosary will be Tuesday, December 11th at 7 p.m. at Angel Funeral Home. Mass of Celebration, Wednesday, December 12th at 11 a.m. at Sana Cruz Catholic Church in Buda, Texas with burial following at Assumption Cemetery.
