BOULDIN, Harvey Neal

A native Austinite passed away peacefully April 16, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Harvey was born July 8, 1928 to Grace and Howard Bouldin. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nita Mitchell.

Harvey and his brother, Jim, were co-owners of Safeway Farm Products Company that was founded by their father in 1938, a prominent East Austin business. He was an avid hunter, loved dancing and family celebrations. Harvey was also a former Mayor of Sunset Valley where they lived for 23 years. He was also a Co-Director of the Sunset Valley Youth Drill Team where he influenced many young lives.

Other survivors are daughter Beth Brown and husband Don, son Neal Bouldin and wife Anita and daughter Vida Jill Love, additionally he had 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren. His brother Jim and wife Vida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews that loved him dearly survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother Howard Jr.

Services for Harvey will be Saturday April 19th, 1:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3501 Red River St., reception following.
