Joe J. Trevino Joe J. Trevino, 67, called home by our Heavenly Father on March 20, 2013. Joe was the first born of three children to Alejandro Trevino Jr (deceased) and Maria Perez Trevino of Beeville, TX on August 11, 1945. He grew up in Beeville and moved to Austin where he met his future wife. Joe served the US ARMY in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. Joe earned two purple hearts along with other commendations for his service. After an honorable discharge, Joe and his wife Anne decided to make Austin their home. Joe married Anne Benavides in Austin on June 29, 1968. They raised two sons Adrian J Trevino and Damien S Trevino. For most of his life, Joe worked in the retail industry for Levine's, Best Buy and Solo Serve. His final job before finally retiring was working with his oldest son, Adrian, at Southside Pawn. Through the years, Joe never met a stranger and was always happy to stop and talk with anyone. He made numerous friends throughout his lifetime. Joe's father, Alejandro Trevino Jr., precedes him in death. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anne Trevino; mother, Maria Perez Trevino of Beeville; sister Yolanda Benavides and husband Joe of San Antonio; brother Erasmo Trevino of Beeville; son Adrian J Trevino and wife Wendi; son Damien S. Trevino and fiancée Cristy Reynolds; grandson Alexander T. Trevino and future grandson Joshua Avila all of Austin. Countless family and friends. The family will receive family and friends at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin between 6:00PM and 8:00PM on Friday, March 22, 2013, with the Prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7p. A Celebration of Christian Burial Mass will be conducted at St. Paul's Catholic Church of Austin at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 23 with Father Hector Vega and Deacon Alfred Benavides (brother-in-law) officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
