Peggy Puckett

Peggy Pate Puckett Peggy Pate Puckett died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 10, 2013 in her beautiful home in Austin, designed and built by her son, Lance. For the past seven years, Peggy bravely battled leukemia and died with extreme dignity. She was born in Austin on March 4, 1931. She was predeceased by her parents Georgia and Richard Pate; her sisters Dorothy, Virginia and Billie; her brothers Harry and Hudson; her husband Gordon B. Puckett, the love of her life and honor graduate from the University of Texas; and her son Gregory G. Puckett. Her survivors include her multi-talented son, Lance and her beautiful daughter Lisa. She is also survived by the theatrical New York Puckett's - Roger, Yvonne, Matthew, Serena and their precious babies; and her two nieces, Peggy and Becky, and their children. Others who were very important in her life include her longtime friends Peggy Clare, Nita, Donette, Phoebe, Stacy and Diane. And lastly, Peggy is survived by her precious Siamese rescue cat, Lucie. When you think of Peggy, smile big and remember her inner and outer beauty, plus the love she had for her family, friends and kitty cats; her generosity and wonderful sense of humor; spending weekends around her pool; numerous vacations in the Caribbean; her precious feet and hot pink toes; and her fondness for a great steak and Beefeater Martini at Brenner's Steakhouse. The family will host a small memorial service in her honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to any animal . The Puckett Family extends their sincere thanks to all the staff at Texas Oncology, including Dr. Laurence Tokaz, Pam Garza and Berta Henry for their special care of our mother over the last several years.
