Percy Elmer Casey

Percy Elmer Casey Percy Elmer Casey, CWO-4, "Big Daddy," "Casey," "P.E.," "Old Goat." Born on August 18, 1919 in Allagash Plantation Maine, to Susan Pelletier and Albert Casey. Died on November 5, 2012, at the age of 93. He was the youngest of seven boys and two girls. He graduated from Ashland Maine High School in 1938. Shortly after graduation he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps. Not waiting to be drafted he joined the Army Air Corps in 1940 and served in England and Tinian during W.W. II. In 1959 he was assigned to Bergstrom Air Force Base. He retired on July 31, 1961, after 21 years in the service. After retiring from the Air Force, Casey operated Tim's Airpark in Pflugerville, attended Electronic School and graduated in December 1969. The State of Texas Highway and Transportation Department employed him for the next ten years. After his retirement he spent his time tinkering around the house, always working on a project. Big Daddy always said he could fix anything with bailing wire and duct tape. Percy married Dorothy Ann Rozene on May 14, 1942. They celebrated their 70th Anniversary this past May. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Michael (Jonathan), grandchildren Jennifer Lucas (John) & Casey Brydson (Janie). He had four great-grandchildren, Bonnie Cameron Lucas, Jackson, Pepper, and Beau Brydson. He is also survived by Randa Becker (Koen), Russell Becker (Delea), Ralph Becker (Sue), Bob Brydson (Delores). His daughter Bonnie preceded him in death on Veteran's Day 1992. He will be missed greatly by his extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held at United Christian Church 3500 Parmer Lane, Austin, Tx. 78727, on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2pm. Donations can be made to the Memorial Fund at United Christian Church.
