Robert "Bob" Lumpkin went home to be with the Lord on Feb 7, 2014.

Bob was a charter member of Austin Baptist Church and served on the staff at Hyde Park Baptist Church for 28 years, from 1976-2004. Bob lived his life out serving Jesus Christ and his church family. Bob is best known for developing the Church Recreation Ministry at the Hyde Park Quarries Facility, Camp Travis, Highlands Singles Retreats, serving numerous Steak Suppers and teaching Bible Prophesy Classes. Bob is also remembered for his booming base vocals and his dry and witty sense of humor.

He is survived by his mother, Kent Lumpkin; brother, Jim Lumpkin and wife Barbara; sister, Linda Martin and husband Richard; 6 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews and 3 great-great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 pm on Wednesday, Feb 12th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, Feb 13th at Liberty Hill Cemetery on Hwy 29. Memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, Feb 14th at Austin Baptist Church, 7016 Ribelin Ranch Drive, Austin TX 78750.
