Robert William Abbate Robert William Abbate, 53, died on Sunday, September 25, 2011. He was born September 22, 1958 in Austin, Texas to Andre and Zella Abbate. Robert was confirmed at St. Martin's Lutheran Church. Robert graduated from Austin High School. Wishing to continue his education, he later pursued a degree, making the Dean's List at the University of Texas and also Austin Community College. He received the AWS Certification of Welding Inspectors in 2006. Robert owned/ managed rental properties for several years and was the owner of Austin Racecrafters. He was employed by Reinhart and Associates Incorportated, as the Senior Examination Specialist. He raced motorcycles, boats, pro-mod racecars, and loved to go fast! He also enjoyed archery, billiards, fishing, playing the guitar and the outdoors. Robert is survived by his wife Terry and her children, Tiffany Chandler, Colton Bradley, and Jessica Bradley; two grandchildren, Kamryn and Devon Chandler; his loving mother Zella; and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his father Andre. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at one o'clock in the afternoon in the Memorial Chapel of Cook- Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The Reverend Robert McElwaine will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Matt McKeown, John Hine, Danny Hazelwood and Colton Bradley.
