Wesley Berg

Wesley Lawrence Berg Sept. 5, 1933 - Sept 5, 2013 Wesley Lawrence Berg of Marble Falls passed away peacefully on his 80th birthday surrounded by his loving family. He was one of seven children born to Emil and Alma Berg of Galchutt, North Dakota. Upon graduating from High School, he entered the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for 28 years. On his first overseas assignment to England, he met his beloved wife Molly and they were married for 57 years. Together they raised four beautiful children. His life long military career took him all over the world with tours in England, Spain, California, Philippines, Vietnam, Texas, Korea, Germany and eventually ended up in Austin at Bergstrom AFB. They decided to retire as Texans and live in the Hill Country. He was an avid golfer, loved all sports and never missed a Texas Rangers baseball game. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and always making time for events in their lives. Wes is survived by his loving wife Molly of Marble Falls; sons, Charles (Rita) Berg, Retired USAF, of Dayton; Robert (Ann) Berg, of Marble Falls; Thomas (Tommy) Berg, of Chicago; daughter Jane (Kenneth) Ford of Spicewood; brothers Willard (Judy) Berg of Springfield, IL; Burton (Kristi) Berg of Wahpeton, ND; Grandchildren Jennifer (Dustin) Lee of Katy; Jonathon (Emily) Berg of Waxahachie, Rebecca (Jonathon) Hogue, Active USAF of Shreveport, Benjamin Berg of Marble Falls, Great Grandchildren Madelyn, Denver, and Jaxon, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service with Military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept 13th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Avenue D, Marble Falls, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.wounderwarrior project.org
