The Day Letitia passed on...the sage bushes were all aflame, radiant purple, like never before. I will always remember that...and Vivaldi's Four seasons was playing on the radio........as I drove through the shower of sage blossoms. The trees she planted in her yard have grown beautifully and when I pass them, on my daily walk, I always think of her and thank her.

Letitia enjoyed teaching at Austin Community College for many years. She was always willing to teach wherever I needed her. She worked hard always searching for new ways to present the material. She was respected and liked by her colleagues. She often spoke of her family and her delightful grandchildren.

Laticia was a wonderful neighbor who always had time for beauty as she walked with her grandchildren by my garden. She raised three amazing children in my neighborhood . The light of her children and grandchildren will continue to spread because of her devotion and guiding light as a mother and grandmother and teacher, citizen and neighbor of the world. Laticia gave her life tirelessly to all of us and I thank her.

Letitia and I were childhood friends in Houston in the 40s. I relocated to Nevada and lost contact until a reunion of our old neighborhood group was held in 2010. Upon getting reaquainted I immediately realized that she was the kind of person that one instinctively likes and would want to spend more time with. Condolences to Cynthia and family.

How sad to learn of Letitia's passing. I am so grateful I had a great visit with her at the Lamar 50th class reunion. She was a remarkable person and dear friend. I have many great memories of us when we were about 9 years old at our summer bay home in La Porte and Brownie Troop 62 at Roberts Elementary. My sympathy to the family.

I didn't know Tish well, but over the years, I had many nice conversations with her, danced with her, and thoroughly enjoyed her pleasant, joyful, calm, peaceful nature. She always seemed happy to see you and had nice thoughts to share. I'm sorry I didn't know her better, but I know that many of my friends knew her well and we'll all miss her wonderful spirit and her beautiful, generous smile.
