Robert Provan Obituary



Robert James Provan Robert James Provan passed away July 6th 2006. He was born in Vernon, Texas on September 14, 1944 to James W. Provan, Sr. and Alice Louise (Furr) Provan. Mr. Provan grew up in Chicago, Illinois where he was diagnosed with polio at the age of five. He graduated from Irving High School, Slippery Rock State College with a Bachelors of Political Science, and the University of Texas Law School with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and became a prominent lawyer in the State of Texas. Mr. Provan is survived by a loving daughter, Michelle J. Provan and four brothers, Phillip E. Provan, James W. Provan Jr., David L. Provan, and John I. Provan. In addition, surviving family members are 4 Nephews, 9 Nieces, 11 Great-Nieces and 4 Great nephews. Memorial services celebrating Mr. Provan's life will be at 3:30 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Lindale City Cemetery in Lindale, Texas.
