Teri BERGSTROM Obituary
Teri Bergstrom died suddenly on May 20th from a cerebral hemorrhage brought on by an undetected brain tumor. She was 62 years old.
She leaves behind her husband of 29 years, Tom; step-daughter Amanda; mother, Sara Whitfield; sisters, Beverly and Alicia Whitfield; brother Rody Whitfield and wife Theresa Millison.
Her extended family includes her much beloved nieces and nephews, Jordan and Brianna Whitfield, Caitlin Spradley, Gabriel Whitfield, Holden, Laszlo and Sunny Whitfield. An honorary mention goes to Doodle.
Teri was a Financial Advisor for 30 plus years. She loved what she did and her clients were more like family than clients.
Her hobby was to enjoy life to the fullest and her faith in God was absolute. Among her favorite scriptures was Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go".
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish North Chapel, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Teri's name to the Baptist Community Center, 2000 E. 2nd Street, Austin, TX 78703.

Teri was an awesome sister. I remember back in the late 60's, after the divorce, she took care of us. Going to the grocery store, cooking dinner, taking us places, she got it done. It was pretty incredible seeing all the people that showed up for her memorial service. And it made sense. Taking care of stuff for folks was something she was always about.

Teri was such an asset to those who worked in higher education. Her financial knowledge helped so many of us in planning our retirement.
She was a Christian witness and such a hero to me because of her ability to manage a business career with her Christian walk.

We feel such a great loss and offer all our sympathy to Tom and the rest of Teri's family. Teri was a super financial adviser and became a great friend over more than a quarter of a century. I enjoyed so much our lunches to discuss my retirement, along with updates on family and travel activities. Teri even took the effort to continue our lunches, even after we moved out of Austin.
