Not sure what to say?

A senior moment, LBJ high school class of 1978: I was one of four male students enrolled in Mrs. Lundgren's 4th period clothing and textiles class. Mrs. Lundgren was elated to see such a diverse group of students who had taken an interest in clothing construction. The reason that this educator will always hold a special place in my memory is that she was so patient and she exemplified what I think of as a gentile southern lady. Mrs. Lundgren knew how to give constructive criticism along with praise for our efforts- especially the guys. A sincere thanks to the family for allowing me to share my memories of such a stellar educator that inspired me over four decades ago- especially her niece Carol Nelson.

My condolences go out to Marvin, her husband, she ALWAYS loved and thought about him even when he was at work. I always remember her (what little time I cared for her) putting on her makeup and making sure she looked her best for him. She was an Awesome Lady and would tell me stories when they would go dancing. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Lundgren was a patient and caring teacher during my senior year at Reagan High School. With her instruction, along with tips from my mother, I learned to sew for myself and later for my two daughters - saving money while doing so. She is a teacher that I thought about many times (especially while sewing) and I appreciate the calm presence she showed when I was frustrated with a new sewing skill. My sympathy to her family.

Mrs. Lundgren was my Clothing teacher at Reagan. I will never forget her moving me to Clothing 2 instead of leaving me in a beginner class, due to how advance I was. I learned so much more and really excelled due to her seeing my potential. She will never be forgotten in my eyes.

Valerie, I loved your mom. We shared so many great times at LBJ and then after we had all left. I am sure she had hard days, but I never think of her without her smile! I am thankful that I was her friend, and I know she was loved by many and will be missed.

Mrs. Lundgren was a wonderful educator and was a joy to work with during my senior year at LBJ high school. She always had a pleasant, sweet spirit and was a very patient person. Mrs. Lundgren taught me to sew my first garmet and was very attentive to the guys to make sure that we mastered the skills. I will always remember her class and her contribution to my education. She will be pleased to know that what she taught me has be invaluable in my life going forward.
