Alma Ruth Bostic Alma Ruth Bostic, 79, of Austin, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 in Austin. She was born in a farm house in Bastrop County, the daughter of Cecil and Sally Alma Malone Rogers on October 9, 1931. She grew up and went to school in Elgin. She married Garvid Leon (Buster) Bostic on February 20, 1948 in Elgin. They lived in south Austin where they raised their 4 sons (Jerry, Roger, Lonny and Jeffrey). She worked in Accounting at Tracor, Inc. for 22 years until retirement. She enjoyed her time dancing with Buster wherever music was played. Ruth also held great pride in her family. They hold close to them memories of gathering at "the country" to enjoy good meals, great stories and always lively conversations. She made lifelong friends wherever she went and was loved by all. Buster and Ruth celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this year. Alma Ruth Bostic is preceded in death by her parents Cecil Rogers and Sally Alma Malone Rogers and a brother Cecil Damon Rogers. Alma Ruth Bostic is survived by, Garvid Leon (Buster) Bostic; Jerry and Stephanie Bostic, San Antonio; Roger and Louise Bostic, Cedar Creek; Lonny and Alice Bostic, New Braunfels; Jeffrey Bostic, California; Edna Baker, New Braunfels; Joe and Millie Johnson, Blue; Carl and Lola Cole, Paige; 6 granddaughters, Shelia Bostic, Emily Bowers, Samantha Moats, Laura Rodriguez, Hannah Bostic, Selena Guerrero; 11 great-grandkids, David Chase Moats, Joshua (Buster) Moats, MaKayla Turner, Kylie Guerrero, Bridget Bowers, Patrick Bowers, Charlotte Bowers, Garrett Rodriguez, Gabrielle Rodriguez and Abbigail Rodriguez. Pallbearers include Carl Cole, Mickey Bowers, Damon Daughtery, Cougar Moats, Joey Johnson and Robert Knetsch. Honorary pallbearers are Chase Moats and Josh Rodriguez. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29th at Providence Funeral Home in Elgin with Pastor Allison Joyce conducting services. Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Elgin Providence Funeral Home.
