B. C. Harris Obituary
B. C. "Bill" Harris B. C. "Bill" Harris was born in Cooper, Texas on September 16, 1923, and departed his earthly home on June 21, 2013 at the age of 89 years. He was a World War II veteran and his career of many years was in the life insurance industry. His pride and joy was working for and with the Texas Coaches Association and he was a long time member and Deacon of Northwest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnny Faye, his parents, Bert and Cora Harris, and by 9 siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Shari Bowen and her husband, Bob, of Bulverde, Texas; Sandy McHargue of Pflugerville, Texas; Judy Wimmer and her husband, Gary, of McKinney, Texas and Gayla Cox of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening, on Sunday, the 23rd of June 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A funeral service will be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 24th of June, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas with Rev. Steven Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Austin Memorial Park, Austin, Texas. Condolences may be sent to www.cookwaldenfuneralhome.com.
