Charles F. (Chuck) Barron Jr. Obituary
Charles F. (Chuck) Barron, Jr. Charles F. (Chuck) Barron, Jr., passed away January 25, 2013. He leaves behind his beloved wife Emily; two sons, Jon & Chris; two daughters, Kelly & Sherill; one sister Ann Pittman of NC; brothers Tom Barron of CO, John Barron of NC and Floyd Barron of TX; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Chuck worked from the age of 15. He entered the Air Force in 1954, served in several stateside assignments and three overseas assignments; Korea 1957; Fountainbleu, France 1963 to 1966; Vietnam 1969-1970. He was awarded the Joint Services Commendation Medal from NATO and the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force in 1974, Chuck founded A.V.C. Janitorial Supplies. He was president & general manager from 1974 until he sold the business and retired in December 1999. Chuck was a member of Bannockburn Baptist Church for over thirty years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, TX. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Bannockburn Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
