David Blount Anderson Obituary
David Blount Anderson David Blount Anderson, 56, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 25 after a year-long battle with lung cancer. David was born in Miami, Florida on July 7, 1956 to Nita Jo and William Blount Anderson. He had a happy childhood growing up in Canyon, Texas, where his family moved when he was young, and has greatly enjoyed living in the Austin area for the past 25 years. David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barb, and three wonderful children of whom he was very proud, Sarah, Drew, and Kyle. He is also survived by his siblings Carol Baker, Barbara Anderson, Bill Anderson, and Becki Hilleary, along with their families, and numerous loving friends. He is predeceased by his parents. David proudly worked for the last 20 years with the supercomputers at the Texas Advanced Computing Center located at UT's Pickle Research Campus. He loved Austin events of all kinds, playing disc golf, riding his bike, and working in his backyard garden. His wonderful smile, sense of humor, and witty observations will be greatly missed. A celebration of David's life will take place on Saturday, March 2nd at 11:00 am at the Texas Advanced Computing Center at the Pickle Research Center located at 10100 Burnet Road, Austin.
