Edwards BRATTON Obituary

BRATTON, Edwards Barham "BB" Edwards Barham Bratton, "BB", passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. BB was the son of Dorothy Dale Barham Bratton and Dr. Robert Edward Bratton and he was born and raised in Austin where he practiced law for 47 years. BB and his wife Gayle lived in Wimberley, Texas on the Blanco River where they variously raised ostriches, llamas, bees, and heirloom tomatoes. BB always had a project going. He was always learning something new. After his retirement, BB and Gayle went on many adventures and moved to the town of Bisbee, Arizona and then to Port Townsend, Washington. BB loved good food, a good book, and Gayle, who took wonderful care of him. BB is survived by many children and grandchildren. The family will be celebrating his life with a casual event on what would have been his 83rd birthday - Friday, September 29, 2017 at Scholtz's Beer Garden from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Donating to the childhood literacy non-profit, "Reach out and Read" would be a wonderful way to remember him.

So sorry to hear of the loss of BB. I admired him as a young lawyer and even more so as I grew in the profession. He was an honorable man and will be missed. My condolences.
