Jay Randall Adelman Dec. 6, 1959 - Jan. 3, 2010 Jay Randall Adelman, 50, of Austin, died unexpectedly on January 3, 2010 of a massive heart attack. He loved life and lived large. The light of his life and reason for being was his daughter, Samantha. His favorite things included deep sea fishing, highly unusual art collections, explosives, Racing Team WFO, English bulldogs, Harley Davidsons, and ZZ Top. Jay loved buying and selling cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He was an independent businessman and entrepreneur. For the past 20 years, he owned and operated Mr. Cool Radiator - the Best Place in Texas to Take a Leak. Jay was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Adelman, and his step-father, Jake Groner. He is survived by his wife, Beverley; his daughter, Samantha; his mother, Maxyne; his sister, Rachel; his step-sister, Susan; his step-brother, Philip; his extended family in Indiana, Iowa, and Texas; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, plus his English Bulldogs Roscoe and Buster and many, many friends. The family wants to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff of the North Austin Medical Center ICU. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas, 78752. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice or just buy something outrageous, ridiculous and expensive for yourself or a friend that will remind you of Jay whenever you see it.
