Julianna St. James Julianna St. James was born Julianna Tarasoff to Margaret and Nicholas Tarasoff on May 03, 1951 in New York, New York. She graduated from Bayside High School in Bayside, New York before enlisting into the U.S. Air Force in Flushing New York on June 01, 1971. Julie began her 20 year career with the U.S. Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center on the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas as a Medical Technician where she served until 1983 when she was reassigned to Sheppard Air Force Base. Julie served there as a Technical Training Instructor for the Air Force Medical Readiness training program. It was there that Julie met fellow instructor, Les St. James whom she married on July 12, 1985. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1991, Les and Julie spent 7 years in Flower Mound, Texas before moving to Austin, Texas where Julie fell in love with the Texas Hill Country and Wildlife surrounding her home. She began working at Austin Gastroenterology and Associates in February of 1998 where she remained until 2012. Those who knew Julie respected appreciated her for her fiercely independent nature and her honest, straight forward personality. Julie was the definition of loyal which she showed by fiercely protecting those she loved while maintaining a kind and dependable nature. Julie was a true friend and companion who always listened and always had the answers. She shined as a wife and mother through her devotion and passion for to her husband, family and friends. Julie enjoyed feeding and watching the humming birds and deer that also resided near her home. She enjoyed spending time taking photographs while riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. Julie fought and beat breast cancer in 2008, but lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer on December 24, 2012. Julie is survived by her husband, Les St. James, her mother, Margaret Stewart, her sister, Deborah Roa, her brothers John and Andrew Tarasoff, her son Danial and his wife Nichola, and their children Angelica, Kody, Justin, Grayson and Aryes, and her son Antony and his wife Stephanie and their daughter Rylee, and her two nieces, Victoria and Maria. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ridge Fellowship Church located at 8754 Ranch Road 2243 in Leander, Texas on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Lightsey.
