Leota Heir Obituary
Leota "Lea" Chambless Heir Leota "Lea" Chambless Heir, age 92, was peacefully called home by her Lord and Savior on Apr. 4, 2013. She was born on Aug. 20, 1920 in Oakland Community near Canton, TX to Joseph and Anna Mae Chambless. Lea grew up near Willspoint, TX where she met her childhood sweetheart, John H. Heir. They married on Aug. 12, 1938. Lea was a loving and supportive wife and mother through John's 28 years of service in the US Army, raising two daughters. The family retired to Austin, TX where she spent many joyful years dedicated to her three grandchildren. Lea is survived by her husband of almost 75 years, John Heir; daughters Linda Holle (Gerald) and Patricia Karkoska (Harold); grandson Jonathan Holle (Courtney); granddaughter Alisha Cofer (Rev. Michael); and granddaughter Candice Karkoska. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Cofer officiating. Graveside service will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery 2800 Hancock Dr. Austin, TX. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan B. , P.O.
