Sunrise Sunset Aug. 11, 1932 - Nov. 7, 2003 Beloved husband, father and friend Malvin Brown Sr., passed away Friday, November 7, 2003, at peace. Malvin was born on August 11, 1932, in New York City, NY, to Henry and Malvina Grant Brown. Educated in New York City and Charleston, South Carolina. Married to the late Rev. Elizabeth M. Brown and to this union eight children were born. He was preceded in death by parents; wife; and one sister. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, later employed by Southern Union Gas company where he retired March 1993 after 21 years of service. Malvin was a member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Church since 1960. Actively served in the Senior Choir, Male Chorus, Steward and Usher Board. A member of Lyons Jr. 290 Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean Brazell-Brown; one sister, Winifred Muldrow; eight children, Malvin Taylor (Brisco), Malvin Jr., (Wanda), Vernard (Shannan), Ardtria Brown Griffin (Merv), Malcom, Michael (Kim), Cheridan, Scipio (Tishia) and Tyrone Brazell, Joyce Brazell whom he loved as his very own. Nineteen grandchildren: Quincy, David, Holly, Ashley, Vernard Jr., Kevin, Michael, Christopher, Ma'Kayla, Cipriell, Julius, Tanielle Carothers, Dominic Brazell, Alvin Clark, Tyrone Alexander Brazell Jr., Travis Wayne Brazell, Teerake Alexander Brazell, Shanekwa Brazell, Treyrone Alexander Brazell; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2003, - 2:00 p.m. at Metropolitan A.M.E. Church, 1105 E. 10th Street, Austin, Texas. Public may view Friday, November 14, 2003, from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Fuller Sheffield Chapel. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Family has received Personal and Professional Service from Fuller- Sheffield Funeral Services Inc.
