Maria De Lourdes Alavarez No one is indispensable...but some are irreplaceable. Maria De Lourdes Alvarez, 44, known to friends as "Mary", entered eternal rest on March 9, 2005, after a long illness. Mary was born on September 7, 1960, in Corpus Christi, Tex., to Jose Gregorio Alvarez Sr., late wife Julia Escobedo, and Step-Mother Helen Alvarez. She is survived by her husband Pantaleon "Pete" Alvarez and son Michael Anthony Alvarez. She was a long time resident of Round Rock, Tex., and member of St. Williams Catholic Church. She is also survived by sisters: Sylvia Alvarez of Austin, Nereida Alvarez- Wilson and Husband Wayne, of Louisiana, Trinidad Alvarez-Evans and husband Marcos of Huntsville, stepsister Brenda Huerta of Brownsville. Brothers: Jose Armando Alvarez and wife Debbie of Round Rock, Gregorio "G.G."Alvarez of Bastrop, Javier Alvarez and wife Deborah of Forth Worth, Michael Alvarez and wife Nina of San Antonio, Jose Gregorio Alvarez Jr. and wife Audrey of Pflugerville, Aubin Alvarez and wife Robbie of Lubbock, Jesse Benavides of Austin, Roland Benavides of Austin, Catarino Benavides of Austin. Also survived by Nieces and Nephews: Veronica and Julian Alvarez, Adam, Amanda and Sarah Alvarez, Julia Alvarez, Oneida and Kathy Wilson, Zachary, Isabelle, Marissa and Evelyn Alvarez, Michael and Monique Alvarez, and Michael Alvarez. Mary enjoyed a long and distinguished career working with H.E.B. Grocery Food chain with over 29 years of service. Her greatest accomplishments were her active and never ending commitments to her husband Pete and son Michael, family, friends and her job. Those who knew her can truly say that they have benefited from knowing her. She truly was the "little" sister that her siblings looked up to because of her leadership, energy, discipline, and compassion for others. She had many joys in life including travel, playing softball, cooking for all her family and attending all her son s sport activities. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005, in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 14, 2005, at St. Williams Catholic Church 1000 McNeil Rd in Round Rock. Burial to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
