March 11, 1942 - August 13, 2004 Randall Taylor, of Grand Junction, CO, formerly of Blue, TX, passed away on August 13, 2004, due to injuries sustained in a drilling rig accident. Graveside Services will be held in Elgin, TX, Saturday, August 21, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Elgin. Viewing will begin at Noon on Friday, August 20, 2004, and a visitation will be held that evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newby/ Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin. Randall was born on March 11, 1942, in Holdenville, OK. He is survived by his wife, Mary Taylor of Grand Junction, CO,; and two daughters, Tammy Smith of Winter Haven, FL, and Carla Smith of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Christopher, Chance, Megan and Kylie. ``A life well lived, too soon taken,' Randall will be missed by many. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Newby/Jones Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Ave. C, Elgin, Texas 78621. (512)285-4616.
