Robert R. Dembowski Obituary
Robert R. Dembowski May 30, 1953-Aug 27, 2013 Robert R. Dembowski passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Austin, TX at the age of 60. Robert was born in West Point, Nebraska to Robert J. Dembowski and Mary Ann Dembowski. After graduating high school from Scribner, Nebraska, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman in Okinawa, Japan and became a manager in the Federal Bureau of Corrections until he retired after serving 20 years of dedicated service. Those who knew Robert knew unbounded compassion, love, generosity and steadfast humor. He had a love for fishing and the outdoors and was a talented artist. Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is loved and missed by all whose lives he touched and will forever be in our hearts. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Dembowski. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Denise Dembowski, two sons Dylan and Shane and Shane's wife Frances, and two beautiful granddaughters, Logan and Lauren. Robert is also survived by his mother, Mary, one brother, Tom Dembowski, and three sisters, Sherry Wieckowski, Teri Starkjohann and husband, David and Janie Vitale. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 29 at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. The Mass will be celebrated at 2:00pm on Friday, August 30 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda with Father Kirby Garner as the celebrant. An inurnment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at St. David's Hospital, Dr. Nancy Matteer and Hospice-Austin Christopher House.
