R.V. McGary Obituary

R.V. McGary R.V. McGary, 95, of Goldthwaite, Texas, formerly of Austin, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Hamilton Regional Hospital. He was born August 11, 1914 in San Saba County to David A. McGary and Ollie B. Robert. He married Lillie M. Slaughter on May 23, 1937 in Goldthwaite, Texas. Mr. McGary was a member of Goldthwaite First Baptist and Mullin Masonic Lodge #806. Visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2010 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Brother Doug Holtzclaw officiating. Funeral service Tuesday, April 20, 2010 1:30 p.m. at Stacy- Wilkins Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be family members, Cary Taylor III, Brandon McGary, Justin McGary, Chris Roddy, Link Taylor. Mr. McGary is survived by his wife, Lillie McGary, Goldthwaite, TX; a daughter and spouse, Pat Taylor and Cary, Goldthwaite, TX; a son and spouse, Larry McGary and Cheryl, Lexington, TX; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
