A devout and committed pastor's wife, Sara was married to The Reverend Daniel Escobedo, Sr., on Oct. 7, 1950; they were happily married for more than 60 years. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a visitation from 6-8 p.m., Jan. 18, 2013, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave., Austin, Texas. The Reverend Nicholas Fatato, Sara's son-in-law, and the pastor of Common Church of Boston, Mass., will officiate. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Jan. 19, 2013, at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Chapel on South Congress Ave., with graveside services immediately following at Onion Creek Memorial Park, 11610 Chapel Lane, Austin, Texas. Sara is also survived by three siblings, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The Escobedo family would like to thank Dr. Steven Dobberfuhl, MD, of Austin, Texas. His kind and caring bedside manner in Sara's final week was a great comfort.
