WAREHAM, William Amon

William "Bill" Wareham's inspiring 79 year life journey unexpectedly came to an end on September 28th 2013 in Austin, TX with his family by his side. Life for Bill began in Manhattan, KS in 1934 where he, along with his younger siblings Bud "Ralph" of Wichita Falls, KS and Jim "James" of Overland Park, KS all attended Manhattan High School and Kansas State University. After graduation from KSU, Bill joined the US Air Force and vested 23 years of his life serving the country he felt so strongly about. Upon retirement in 1976, Bill moved the family to the Austin, TX area and proceeded to build his family's new homestead in the Round Rock area, where he has called home base since. After retirement, Bill worked at IBM and Applied Materials in Austin and served as a volunteer in several charities and schools. Bill's legacy in life was his compassion for humankind. From his philanthropic and volunteer efforts to random acts of kindness, Bill never hesitated to engage any being or organization he felt he could positively impact through his resources or boundless energy. Bill is survived by his wife Florence of Round Rock, TX, Barbara and Elizabeth of Oxford, MS, Daniel of Clinton, MS, Brad of Littleton, CO, Patrick and Kenneth of Greensboro, NC and Kevin of Hutto, TX, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. As a dedicated husband, excellent father and a soft spoken and engaging character, Bill will always be remembered forever by those who's life he touched directly and indirectly.
