Family-Placed Obituary

William Lee Adair, age 54, of Dripping Springs ascended on July 31, 2004. Bill was born on January 20, 1950, in Las Vegas, NV. He married Cheryll Blanchard Adair on May 19, 1979. Bill and Cheryll were residents of Dripping Springs for the last 20 years. Bill loved the Lord. He had received Christ into his life in 1997 during a ``Walk to Emmaus'. He was an active member of Church of the Springs in Dripping Springs. He founded Comfort Givers, a ministry that provided air conditioning for the ill and elderly people in the Austin area. He was also the chairman of the Wild Game Dinner Committee at First United Methodist Church of Dripping Springs for eleven years. Bill was a graduate of the University of Texas and a gifted engineer. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing in Port Aransas and hunting anywhere! He enjoyed nature, from skiing in the mountains to diving into the sea. Bill was a loving husband and faithful friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryll, of 25 years; his mother, Eleanor Adair of Riverside, CA, whom he cherished; his brothers, Dr. Robert Adair and wife, Patti of Malibu, CA, and David Adair and wife, Tara of Philadelphia, PA; his uncle, Richard Nafsinger, and wife, Phyllis, of Hood River, OR; and many others in his extended family and countless dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ret. Lt. Col. L.E. Adair, of Riverside, CA. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 28900 Ranch Road 12, Dripping Springs, Texas. For directions call 512-894-7123. Interment will follow at the Phillips Cemetery in Dripping Springs, Texas. Contributions may be made to the Bill Adair Memorial Fund, Church of the Springs, P.O.
